Creating Natural Perfume Blends: Strawberry Pound Cake & Vanilla Coconut and More

Are you looking to create a deliciously scented perfume oil using only natural essential oils? Many popular fragrances rely on synthetic fragrance oils, but with the right combination of essential oils, you can achieve beautiful, natural scents without compromising on purity.

In this post, I’ll share how to recreate the comforting aroma of Strawberry Pound Cake using only essential oils, as well as two other popular fragrance-inspired blends: Vanilla Coconut and Fresh Citrus Blossom.

Why Use Essential Oils Instead of Fragrance Oils?

Fragrance oils are synthetic and designed to mimic scents that don’t naturally exist in essential oil form, such as strawberries or baked goods. Essential oils, on the other hand, are extracted from plants through distillation or cold pressing, offering a pure and natural way to enjoy beautiful aromas with added therapeutic benefits.

If you’re passionate about natural perfumery, blending essential oils allows you to create custom, non-toxic fragrances while benefiting from their wellness properties.

  • Bergamot – Provides a bright, citrusy sweetness.
  • Ylang Ylang – Adds a soft, floral-fruity depth.
  • Copaiba – Contributes a smooth, warm base.
  • Vanilla – Brings in the comforting, creamy vanilla note.
